The Fund for Peoplehood education grant was designed to support initiatives which promote the distinctive features of church-sponsored education thus encouraging strong ties between Mennonite Church USA and its schools.
The grant was designed to be used over a twenty year period and is in its final year. Grant applications will be accepted through September 30, 2015. In addition to strengthening church-school ties, projects should focus on highlighting the distinctive features of Anabaptist Mennonite education and cultivate educational leadership among younger members of Mennonite Church USA. The fund supports projects which:
Advocate for church-sponsored schools
Call and orient gifted members to the teaching ministry
Provide orientation/ professional development for teachers, administrators and trustees
Conduct action-oriented research to enhance church-school relationships
